ONLINE SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION

Since January 2023, the Vietnam Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering (VJSTE) has partnered with ScholarOne to reduce the burden for authors when submitting manuscripts to the VJSTE and increase the quality of the peer-review process. Submissions on ScholarOne Manuscripts are automatically analysed and compared with published papers in Publons (2 million contacts) and the Web of Science (10 million contacts). This returns a list of 30 reviewers recommendations based on their publishing history and reviewing profiles. These individuals are ready to add to a journal's database and invite.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All manuscripts must comply with the Journal's Aims & Scope.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided (if any).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Formatting Guide and the Referencing Style.
  • The author(s) has carefully read and adhered to the policies (submission, review, editing).
  • The author(s) must fully provide personal information of all authors (including full names, affiliations, emails, phone, address), CRediT author statement, and other commitments if required.
  • The author(s) must prepare a complete text minus the title page, hidden metadata or personal information with the manuscript, acknowledgements, and any running headers with author names, to allow blinded review, and have not compromised your anonymity in any Supporting Information files or Additional Files for Review uploaded.

Publication Process

Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication in the Vietnam Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering, the process of English-proofreading, copyediting, typesetting and publishing the article will begin. Authors will be asked to ensure all final files are submitted to ScholarOne before the article can be sent to the VJSTE for production. The production process includes successive stages during which the corresponding author is contacted via email by the Managing Editor.

After the author accepts all English proofreading and final technical editing, the basic information (title, author(s), affiliation(s), and accepted date of the article will be published in the Accepted Articles. The article will then be arranged in the appropriate issue.

Authors are not charged for publishing their articles. Articles are published in both electronic and printed versions. You can access full-text PDFs of the previous issues in Archives and of the latest issue in Current Publications.
